Jeep Wrangler Kurgo Pet Bench Seat Cover (1987-2017 YJ, TJ, JK) Review & Install

I’m Ryan from extremeterrain.com, and this
is my review of the pet bench seat cover, fitting all 1987 and up Wranglers. Today, we’re going to talk about the installation
of this pet bench seat cover. This is, of course, for those of you who have
pets that you like to take in your Jeep, whether it be on-road or off-road. This is going to help protect your interior
from nail scratches, from pet fur, or from a muddy dog traipsing a bunch of dirt into
your back seat, and it’s machine washable. So it’ll do a great job of protecting and
keeping your back seat clean. This pet seat cover is a universal-fit item,
so it will fit in any Wrangler of any year. It is a total of 55 inches wide, which should
give you edge-to-edge coverage, regardless of what generation Jeep you have. It has a few different Velcro openings in
it for different seat belt locations, and it has a storage pocket built right into the
center of it for anything from dog treats to other cargo that you like to carry in your
Jeep. As far as construction goes, this thing is
really well-built. It’s a canvas material that is double-stitched
at all of the seams. It’s designed to hold up really well, and
not get scratched or ripped up, even if you have a large dog. I would give the installation of this pet
seat cover a very simple one out of three wrenches. Now, this is a universal-fit item, so there
are a lot of straps and a lot of adjustability built into it, but that’s a good thing. That means you can get this nice and tight
on your back seat, and it’s not going to be sliding around. There are a couple of plastic buckles, and
again this is adjustable, that go around the headrests. There are a couple of straps also on the back
of this, to go around the back of the seat and the bottom of the seat, and something
that I really like are these straps that are in the center. These are a PVC-style tubing material that’s
designed to get tucked between the back and the bottom of the seat to keep everything
from moving around. That’ll give your dog a nice, solid place
to stand without things sliding underneath of their feet. The whole installation of this should probably
take you less than 15 minutes. You won’t need any tools. As I said before, this is designed to install
and uninstall, so that you can pull it out and wash it when need be. So it’s going to be a very simple installation. I think this seat cover is very appropriately
priced. It’s going to do a very nice job of protecting
your back seat, which will cost you a lot of money to have recovered if it was destroyed
by your dog. So I think this makes a really good investment
if you plan on having your dog ride in your Jeep. So that’s my review of the pet bench seat
cover, fitting all 1987 and up Wranglers that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.

  1. This video is 100% correct…however it doesn't show how it holds up in the real world! I have a 35lb PugXBeagle and this cover only lasted about 6 months before every strap, clip and bungee had been ripped off due to the poor construction. Not tough at all. Do not waste your money on this cover!
