  1. It’s funny how we call ourselves the land of the free and home of the brave when our government locks up children and causes their deaths by subjecting them to inhuman conditions. I’m half Hispanic and half European both sides of my family left their homes to find a better life in America and when they got to Ellis island they were given that opportunity. I’m only a fourth generation u.s. citizen and don’t get me wrong I love my country but when it starts to no longer uphold the values it was founded on you have to start wondering is it really that great. I realize that the people in the detainment centers aren’t citizens but you know what maybe they’d be able to become citizens if the government didn’t make it so expensive and time consuming then they would but takes up to 10 years to become a citizen of the country. Like seriously back in the time Ellis island it didn’t take that long to become a citizen it literally took maybe days or months not years.

  2. Other must be waiting for their parents to come like this and rescue them and their parents must be fighting to have such connection so that they can free their child. Hard world.

  3. Yo I swear, I hope this new president for 2020 can do much better than Trump. Separating kids from their parents and keep them in a cage like animals!? I thought this was a country of a lot of opportunities and second chances, but I guess not.

  4. These comments were posted 10 months ago! These atrocities continue!! Wake up America! You could be next!!!

  5. I don't think Military Police can be used for civilian law enforcement. Doesn't that violate the Posse Comittatus Act of the 1870's?

  6. So we have money to make showes about this terrible situation but don't have the money to help free those children. I hate America

  7. I know that the children may not he there legally but to house them in cages and give them only mattresses is inhumane, they are only kids

  9. I’m not American so I don’t know how your system works, but are immigrants really kept in cages with tinfoil to keep them warm? If so then I don’t even know what to think. Disgusting.
